Since its foundation in 1996, Mr. Fishman developed TF from infancy to a financial powerhouse with $6 billion assets under management, 180 employees and over 60,000 clients. Mr. Fishman has left his position as co-CEO on January 1, 2009 in order to devote a substantial majority of his business time to managing the Fund throughout its investment period.
Mr. Fishman has more than 19 years of extensive experience, both in Israel and internationally, in fund management, investment banking, private equity, venture capital, real estate and asset management. Mr. Fishman has managed and overseen dozens of transactions totaling billions of dollars, including public offerings on the NASDAQ, European and Tel Aviv Stock Exchanges, deals, mergers & acquisitions and private offerings.
Mr. Fishman is the co-founder and managing partner of Tamir Fishman Real Estate Fund and serves as a board and investment committee member of that fund. Moreover, Mr. Fishman served on the board of big governmental housing, development and real estate companies such as Amidar, Halamish, Shikun Upituach, Prazot, Arim and Afridar.
Mr. Fishman is also one of the founders of the Eucalyptus Venture Capital Fund, Tamir Fishman II Venture Fund, and DFJ Tamir-Fishman Venture Fund and served as a board and investment committee member of such funds.
Previously, Mr. Fishman served as Executive Vice President of Y.L.R. Capital Markets Group and CEO of Y.L.R. Investment Management. In that position, he established and managed private equity funds (Primavera, Charterhouse/Y.L.R.), invested in technology, consumer, retail and life sciences companies, and represented Y.L.R. on the boards of portfolio companies.
Prior thereto, Mr. Fishman was co-head of the privatization unit of the Israeli government, leading privatization processes with respect to large governmental companies. In this capacity, he represented the government on boards and committees of many such companies. Prior to serving in such capacity, Danny served as the Real Estate Representative of this same government unit, serving on boards of real estate, construction, housing and infrastructure companies, as well as investment and finance committees, evaluating projects and land parcels for sale.
Mr. Fishman earned a B.Sc. in Economics and an M.B.A. in Finance and Accounting from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Among other activities, he volunteers his services as Chairman of the Advisory Board of "Our Children", a not-for-profit organization that assists the Schneider Children's Medical Center of Israel.
